Sylva Graham

Founder & Managing Attorney

Over 11 years of experience representing clients in complex immigration matters. Sylva Graham is the Founder and Managing Attorney of Graham Immigration Law, PC, and regularly appears before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the Immigration Courts, and the Board of Immigration Appeals.

Strong humanitarian focus: Sylva has developed a practice with particular depth in asylum and removal defense. She began her legal career at a large immigration law firm in San Francisco representing clients in removal and deportation proceedings, primarily handling asylum-based claims.

Expanded expertise: In 2019, she joined another prominent San Francisco law firm where she expanded her practice to include family-based immigration matters—marriage-based petitions, removal of conditions, fiancé visas, following-to-join cases, consular processing, and waivers for unlawful presence and misrepresentation. She continued handling complex removal proceedings including cancellation of removal and contested cases.

Founding her own firm in 2024, Sylva now provides strategic and personalized representation across a wide range of immigration matters. She expanded her humanitarian practice to include guardianship petitions in California state courts and Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS) cases for vulnerable minors throughout California.

Personal connection to immigration: Born and raised in the Czech Republic, Sylva’s experience as an immigrant deeply informs her advocacy and dedication to protecting individuals and families navigating the U.S. immigration system.

Education & Credentials: B.A. in Government and Public Policy from University of Baltimore (summa cum laude); J.D. from University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law (2015). Admitted to California State Bar; Member of American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). Fluent in English, Czech, and Slovak.
